Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-10

1. Service Description

Vigilant provides a REST API for extracting structured lawsuit data from Brazilian court systems. The service searches public court records by CPF, CNPJ or OAB registration and returns parties, movements, subjects, and metadata.

2. Account & Credits

You must create an account to use the service. Each court search costs credits, purchased via Stripe on the website or through the App Store or Google Play in the app. Credits are non-transferable. Unused credits do not expire. Refunds are provided automatically for failed searches.

3. Lawful Use

To start consults, monitors or batches, you must identify yourself, by name and CPF as an individual or by company name and CNPJ as a company, and declare the purpose for which you will use the data.

You may use the data only for the purpose you declared, and only lawfully. You must not use it to discriminate against anyone, in particular in hiring decisions about job candidates (Lei 9.029/1995), nor for harassment. Mass scraping and reselling raw data are prohibited.

You are the controller of the processing you carry out with the data you receive, and you answer jointly for damage caused by its misuse (LGPD, art. 42, § 1).

If a person you consulted asks us, we may tell them your company name and CNPJ, or only your name if you consult as an individual. Never your CPF, nor anything else you consulted.

4. Data Accuracy

We extract data directly from court websites. While we strive for accuracy, court systems may change without notice. We do not guarantee completeness or real-time accuracy of the data. For each document and court we keep the most recent copy retrieved, as described in section 6 of the Privacy Policy. A consult made within 2 days of that copy is answered from it; an older copy may be returned marked as outdated while the court is searched again. You can ask for a new search instead of the stored copy.

5. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Court websites may be temporarily unavailable. Failed searches are automatically retried and credits are refunded if all attempts fail.

6. API Usage Limits

To protect accounts, sign-in requests to the API are limited per IP address, and a sign-in code accepts a limited number of attempts. Consults are limited by your credit balance.

7. Liability

Vigilant is provided "as is". We are not liable for decisions made based on the data returned by the API. You are responsible for verifying data accuracy for your use case.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Changes are published on this page with the new date of the last update. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
